Meet Upcoming Artist H.B.K

Meet Tyrell Gray, an upcoming artist that goes by H.B.K. He is from Hendersonville, North Carolina.

He has been playing around with music since he was 13 years old. He started taking it more seriously around 2 years ago when he released his track “Real Me.” Since then he has been making and producing music.

His style is rap mixed with some modern R&B. His most successful track is currently “Broken.” It was the first track he did in the studio and he did a freestyle. There was a strong connection in the studio and he found himself pouring his heart out and really thriving in the moment. He was freestyling on a beat he and the producer made together.

H.B.K has been very inspired by Meek Mill. All of Meek Mill’s DreamChasers albums spoke to him a lot, especially the track “Heaven or Hell.” He actually tried to write his own remix to it when he was younger because his brother was being held in jail under a million dollar bond, and the song really spoke to him during this time.
