Meet Boss Ej an upcoming artist of 2021

Meet Boss Ej, an upcoming artist from the eastside of Chicago, Illinois. He is turning 19 this March and started recording music just last year.

He has been rapping and wrote his first song in July of 2020, but did not start recording until last November (2020). He started making music because he was in a recording studio with his older cousins, and felt inspired. His cousins seemed to be having a lot of fun, and Boss Ej immediately wanted to join and be a part of the music world. That same day, he went home and got to work. He wrote his first song, “No Hook” and decided to continue writing songs from that point on.

Boss Ej’s style of music is rap, although his favorite genre of music is Hip Hop/Rap. He views himself as a rather “moody” artist, and likes to write songs and make music based on how he is feeling at the moment. He sometimes prefers to write lyrics after making/ listening to a beat. He loves music and can enjoy almost every genre. His first track, “No Hook” will always be super special to him, because it is the first song he ever wrote.

When it comes to inspiration, he is especially inspired by his city (Chicago), he believes Chicago changed the rap game and artist’s opportunity level. Music artists that inspire Boss Ej are Chief Keef, because it is his favorite artist. He is also inspired by his cousins and other artists like G Herbo, Lil Durk, Meek Mill, Future, and Lil Baby.
